Match heights or equal squares?
Match heights keeps every photo whole. A tall portrait and a wide landscape end up the same height, and the result is as wide as they need. Use it for screenshots, documents and anything you don’t want trimmed.
Equal squares crops every photo to the same square from the centre. Use it for before-and-after comparisons, where identical framing makes the difference obvious: a room makeover, a haircut, weight-loss progress, a restored photo.

How do I put two pictures side by side?
Choose two photos, keep “Side by side” and “Match heights” selected, and download. The photos are scaled to the same height so nothing is cropped.
How do I make a before and after photo?
Choose the before photo first and the after photo second, select “Equal squares” so both are framed identically, tick “Add labels”, and download.
Can I merge photos vertically?
Yes. Choose “Stacked” to put photos one above the other at the same width, handy for long screenshots or recipe steps.
