Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 4, 2025
Your Privacy Matters
PicGrid is built with privacy as a core principle. We believe your photos and personal data should remain yours.
Data Processing
All photo processing happens locally in your browser. When you upload photos to create collages:
- Photos are processed entirely on your device using client-side JavaScript
- No photos are ever uploaded to our servers
- No photos are transmitted over the internet
- All processing is done using HTML5 Canvas API and browser storage
Data Storage
We use browser storage (localStorage and IndexedDB) to enhance your experience:
- Auto-save: Your current project is saved locally every 30 seconds
- Project history: Past collages are stored in your browser using IndexedDB
- Settings: Your preferences (templates, spacing, colors) are saved locally
- Complete control: You can clear all stored data at any time using the "Reset Canvas" button
All stored data remains on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
Analytics
We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand how people use PicGrid. This helps us improve the tool. The analytics:
- Track page views and user interactions (clicks, navigation)
- Collect aggregated usage statistics
- Do NOT track or store any of your photos
- Do NOT collect personally identifiable information
Third-Party Services
PicGrid does not use third-party services for core functionality. All photo processing, editing, and export features work entirely in your browser without external API calls.
Recommended Privacy Helpers
Before you share collages online, double-check your images with PixelProbe to strip sensitive metadata, or convert documents securely through DocuSwift when you need to send paperwork alongside your artwork.
Cookies
We do not use cookies for tracking. The only cookies that may be set are:
- Session cookies for basic website functionality
- Analytics cookies from Ahrefs (aggregated data only)
Data Retention
Since all data is stored locally in your browser:
- Data persists until you clear your browser storage
- You have complete control over data deletion
- We have no access to your stored collages or photos
Children's Privacy
PicGrid is safe for users of all ages. Since we don't collect or store personal data on our servers, there are no special privacy considerations for children.
